Antique Turkish Oushak Room Size Carpet

A wool pile with symmetric knots on a wool foundation. Apart from a few small pinecone palmettes running vertically along the center line, everything else is set in diagonal patterns: the large, exuberant palmettes arranged in opposing pairs, the simple leaves, and the wiry stems. The sand-colored border is adorned with oversized, fluttering palmettes. The design features large-scale drawings, detailed in tangerine-rust and various shades of brown, creating a comfortable and harmonious palette.
