This piece features a wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The sand-colored field presents an East Turkestani interpretation of the allover Persian Herati pattern, retaining the rosettes and open diamonds but replacing the lancet leaves with stems of small florets. While the secondary colors are mostly subtle, delicate accents in dark blue and red add interest. The design is framed by an inner T-fret border and a narrow cream main band, featuring repeated triple florets on a single stem. The piece stands out for its exceptional size and proportions.
