This piece features a wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. It showcases a six-by-eight array of closely set octagons, each with uniform hooked centers, surrounded by similar fractional rows and columns. A subtle "necklace" overpattern appears, highlighted by four lighter octagons at the center. The design is framed by an inner wide border with hazy cloud motifs and an emphatic outer stripe featuring polychrome "rain." While rooted in the traditional Khotan style, this rug offers a more practical, room-sized format.
