A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This is a three-column, twelve tree version of the classic Khotanese pomegranate tree and vase design. The trees nearly meet across the center of the brown field. Many borders in the East and West Turkestan styles, with frets, diagonal “rain”, divided squares and Turkmen repeats.
