A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation, the teal field features an allover design of three columns of geometric palmettes, surrounded and linked by chunky arabesque vines, often with small lappet fringes or acanthoid edges. The pale blue main strip-style border is balanced, adorned with rosettes, barbed curling leaves, and reversing turtle palmettes. Pale blue/teal antique Sultanabads are extremely rare, and this modern example fills that void exceptionally well.
