A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a wool foundation. The brown field of this post-WWII Turkmen carpet features a three-by-seven grid of elaborate octagonal guls, loosely related to the Salor 'turret' or Merv guls, with small hooked Dyrnak lozenge minors. Strongly visible abrash runs across both the field and the borders. The twelve patterned borders include a brown main stripe with floating floral devices.
