A vintage East Turkestan Khotan carpet. The rich red-brown ground displays a spacious array of stylized floral elements including tulips, with small fret triangular corners. A diagonal polychrome swastika fret section inner border adds another Chinese touch while the main brown stripe is in a rosette and stiff, diagonal vine style of Persian origin.
