A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The warm red field of this k’ang (double square) format carpet shows a repeating, allover design of straight horizontal stems laden with rosettes, along with larger round rosettes, hooked rosettes, open and other lozenges, all with ecru and evergreen details. The red middle border with a continuous leaf scroll, is flanked by wider borders with identical fret patterns, Red outermost surround.
