A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The intricate mosaic pattern of diamonds, octograms, and squares appears uniformly in both the slate blue field and the ecru main border. Both minor borders feature X’s, rosettes, and filler triangles. This is a particularly well-disciplined carpet, with all sides equally balanced and nothing out of place. Although the field and border share the same pattern, the contrasting ground colors create strikingly different effects. Well woven with a fine weave.
