A vintage Persian Bakhtiari Pictorial rug. Two triple groups of Persian ladies are laterally squeezed and vertically stretched, while the three horses have lost most of their riders. On the old ivory ground, small flowers and tiny stars fill the interstices. The small central woman in dark blue may be a little girl. The red border shows an irregular connected open hexagon chain with various geometric motives. The exact iconography of this Persian rustic kellegi is not clear.
