A vintage Persian Kashan carpet. The palest powder blue field displays a biaxially symmetric allover pattern of curvilinear vines, palmettes and cloud bands, framed by a buff border of in-and-out palmettes and floral sprays, all on this central Persian well-woven city large carpet. The palette is much lighter than the usual saturated red-blue-white colorway.
