A Wool pile in symmetric and asymmetric knots on cotton foundations. Patchwork rugs are a recent Turkish innovation in which small sections of otherwise damaged rugs are integrated into new compositions. In this piece, plain distressed rectangular snippets in slate, dark wine red, straw, beige, and other tones are assembled into a functional new design.
