A Wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The ecru field features an allover array of effusively flowering and leafy vases, supported by a close-scrolling arabesque and small tertiary blossoms. The abrashed sapphire blue main border displays more flowering vases, including elegant corner turns. A wide natural dye palette, including cochineal, indigo, and other plant-derived sources, is beautifully chosen. 'Laver' or 'Lavar' is the current trade term for finely knotted antique Kermans, regardless of their actual town of origin.
