A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This piece is in the small carpet rank, with a grey field supporting an allover pattern of four giant, complete spiral arabesques, showing palmettes and leaves, with partial, similar arabesques above and below. Central rosette in an open lozenge. Sand border featuring lotus palmettes. Oblique lotus palmettes in the corners encourage correct turnings.
