A vintage Persian Malayer carpet. Looks somewhat south Persian tribal, but this wide long rug is actually a west Persian creation with a charcoal field closely fitting around a zig-zagging, bird-accented ecru subfield and a central tripartite hooked central abrashed camel-tone pole medallion. The ivory main border features hooked diamonds and en suite side fillers. The design is bold, and not fussy or complicated.
