A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Wide runners with soft, simplified palettes are a specialty of Malayer, as seen here in a pale grey field with ascending vases set between paired, bold, ecru, serrated volute leaves. Each vase holds a composite flower. Large and small rosettes are framed by a double-faceted, stiff meander in the putty-colored border.
