A vintage Persian Malayer rug. The decidedly abrashed blue field features an abstract lattice and leaf pattern enclosing several palmette styles delineated in red-brown. In this west Persian village scatter, botehs figure in all three borders: chained in the minors and hanging from a faceted camel vine in the main band.
