Vintage Persian Tabriz Carpet

A vintage Persian Tabriz carpet. We have more Tabriz carpets than anybody! A fine example from a most extensive inventory is this very well woven  piece  with a cartouche and octofoil pattern, suitably reduced in scale, adapted from the rare 17th century Khorassani cartouche and tree carpets. Here the palette emphasizes browns and beiges. The border is strictly 20^th century Tabriz with diagonal leaves bracketing escutcheons and palmettes.
