A vintage Persian Malayer rug. The dark brown field outlines of zig-zags, saw teeth, steps and striated flaps are the primary graphic elements on this otherwise softly toned buff and pearl medallion rug. The Caucasian-style slanted leaf and calyx border has a few dark umber accents.
