A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The subdued pattern almost fades into the light grey slate field. A Malayer version of the Herati design features cream diamonds arranged in a pole, along with bent leaves, rosettes, and palmettes. The corners are open in straw, and the border is in straw with a squared meander and pyramidal palmettes.
