A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This slightly smaller scatter size is favored by village weavers in the Malayer area, as is the modified Herati pattern centered on a pole of fringed diamonds. The remaining Herati elements float along the sides. Small straw triangular corners and a straw border with a right-angled, faceted, and trapezoidal meander frame the field, featuring simple fringed palmettes throughout.
