A wool pile of symmetrical knots on a cotton foundation. This traditional Malayer allover pattern has been enlarged to its maximum, yet retains the nested octagons, sharply tilted rhomboids, broken jagged leaves, and pendant stars, all set against a light blue-slate ground with abundant rust details. The straw-colored border features pyramidal palmettes.
