Antique Persian Senneh Oversize Carpet

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This magnificent city carpet features four mid-blue niches, arranged in head-to-head pairs, with ivory parrots, octogram rosettes, and central straw lozenges in each arched panel. Striped columns support and divide the panels and the ecru conjoint spandrels. The navy strip-style border is adorned with rust and ecru cartouches. A unique piece with a fine weave, all-natural dyes, and a singular design. Not exactly a garden or four-season design.
