A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This minimalist rendition of a local Malayer interpretation of the Herati design features a central column of joined diamonds, each enclosing a triangular palmette. Widely spaced rosettes and bent leaves flank the central axis. The sandy-straw main border displays a fully angular meander, framed by an outer cream minor border with reversing fan palmettes.
