A vintage Persian Tabriz Pictorial rug. The trompe l’oeil molded wood frame sets off a rug picture of two riders and a donkey moving along a lane between mud brick houses in a Persian village, under a slightly clouded blue sky. The original painting was signed lower left and this finely knotted ruglet faithfully reproduces virtually every detail.
