A wool pile of symmetrical knots on a cotton foundation. The straw-colored strip-style border, featuring convex, ragged palmettes on stalks, frames a flannel slate octagonal field decorated with a large-scale, idiosyncratic Malayer version of the allover Herati design. Fringed diamonds run up the center, while rosettes, palmettes, and leaves jostle along the side reserves.
