A vintage Persian Mashad Modernist runner. This finely woven Mashad city runner is simplicity itself: wine red cochineal field and border, totally plain except for two thin off white lines forming an interior frame. A bit wide for many hallways, but totally in mid-century modern style, the saturated colors will be a smash hit in an otherwise light interior. The signature at one end indicates the highly professional workshop of origin.
