A wool pile with symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The surprised rust-colored lion, with a spotted coat, faces right on the red field, flanked by three headless animals at each end. The design also includes stick-figure weaver portraits, birds, lesser animals, and various geometric motifs. The reciprocal border features ivory keyholes. This is a Qashghai work from Fars Province.
