A silk pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The red field features a semi-pictorial design of various animals—lion, leopard, sheep, goat, perching bird, dragon, hawk, fox, and bear—set within the branches of a tall, blossoming "tree of life." Zig-zag patterned tall engaged columns frame each side of the field. The main cream border displays a vine scroll with animals nestled within oak leaves. The visual top end is rough and needs securing, but the overall pile is in good condition. Fine weave.
