A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Dated 132… = 190… (3) approx. and inscribed. With white cotton highlights, this urban scatter shows Layla and Majnun above, the latter shaded by a weeping willow, and a tribal encampment below with shepherds, dog, cows and sheep. Fish in a pond, Layla’s camel and tall hills, all are situated to the left. Human corner figures, serpents, a tiger, a dog, a partridge and a peacock populate the straw-beige main border.
