A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This amusing pictorial scatter shows a light blue stepped, lozenge cartouche on a charcoal field. A smaller inner conforming charcoal cartouche displays an ivory innermost panel depicting a half-length royal figure, probably Shah Reza Pahlavi, in military dress, with identifying inscriptions above and a number 3526 (?) below. Akimbo human figures at the sides of the field and assorted stylized flowers closely arranged. Main cream border with floating bars, polygons and squares. Red secondary borders with trains of colorful detached triangles.
