Wool pattern wefts in a warp-sharing tapestry weave. It could be Art Deco, Moderne, or even a later style, but the bold red field with ecru and royal blue stepped small diamonds gives it striking character regardless. The design extends into triangular, stepped projections that reach into the border, where it is framed by an ecru surround embedded in an abrashed purple frame. The square looped corners of the border add to the design. Plain colors, simply worked, create a striking effect.
