A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. One unusual rug! A temple sits atop a chessboard hillock, flanked by columns bearing eggs. Below, a prospector’s hammer and a rock are depicted, while above, loosely knotted branches, a compass, and a square complete the scene. The moon, sun, and stars add a cosmic touch. The abrashed blue partial background contrasts with an olive-brown square link chain pattern border. Somewhat Masonic in style.
