A wool pile of symmetric knots rests on a wool foundation. Whether antique or vintage, it’s hard to decide. The intense red field features five well-spaced, alternating columns of ragged palmettes and 'Yapr (Leaf)' diamonds with attached botehs. The pattern dates back to the 18th century, with even earlier partial precursors. The red main border is adorned with octagonal rosettes and hyacinth sprays, embodying one of the most popular traditional Oushak designs.
