An antique Turkish Oushak carpet. The straw-buff field displays a brown-outlined Yaprak (Leaf) and fat ragged palmette pattern. The motives are all outline, no filler, no internal color. The abrashed straw borders are equally skeletal, with little circles and groups of parallel lines. This is a rather minimalist west Turkish town oversize workshop carpet.
