An antique Persian Afshar rug. This much-patched and substantially worn shabby chic SE Persian tribal scatter shows a sand field with a large lozenge lattice pattern enclosing floriated cruciforms. Small squares, rosettes, and small animals are scattered erratically in the lattice.
