A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. This unusually scaled piece features a madder red field overlaid with an all-over seven column Herati design of lozenges, geometric palmettes, rosettes and pairs of small, serrated leaves. The strip style medium blue main border shows rosettes, brackets and doubly bent leaves; and is flanked by three minors on each side with identical reversing carnation scrolls.
