A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This tightly packed and robust piece features an unusual allover design of octogrammed rosettes and paired botehs forming tulips, with binding arabesques, set against a near-black ground. The rust-red border is almost entirely covered with reversing escutcheon palmettes and rinceaux vinery. Made from high-quality Kurdish tribal wool.
