A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Although the light/medium slate field ostensibly shows a single column Herati design repeat, really the pattern is dominated by pairs of swirling, bitonal sickle leaves, four pairs for each Herati open diamond. Strong ecru accents overall. Beige strip style border with a trapezoidal, strapwork meander. Solid, robust Kurdish work with a versatile palette.
