A wool pile with symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Particularly wide for its length, this exceptional village carpet features a madder red field, centered by a barbed navy octogram, radiating palmettes, and a rose-shaped sub-medallion. Large, deep teal, ragged palmette pendants add drama, while pellucid abrashed mid-blue corners provide contrast. The near-black strip-style border is adorned with petal palmettes connected by ecru vinery. The carpet boasts an excellent natural dye palette and shows a hairline end reduction.
