An antique Persian Khorassan carpet. A central pole medallion of two giant beige cartouches dominates the middle brown field of this usual NE Persian city carpet. Half-cartouches fill in from the sides and smaller beige lozenges fit in between the larger elements. Oblique escutcheons are the salient feature of the main border.
