A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. An oval frame displays a half-length image of the young Ahmad Shah of Persia in military regalia, seated within a flowering garden. The oval section is attached to the narrow border by volute trefoils. Navy corners show delicate millefleurs patterns, and a straw-colored border frames the composition. Visible reduction at the lower end.
