A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A diamond lattice of stems and pinecone palmettes serves as the backdrop for two types of fillers: a large, single round flower and a more delicate floral design. The pattern exhibits a subtle directional flow, gently moving toward one end. The main strip-style border, in a putty ground, features reversing turtles and rosettes. A rare, larger Mahal carpet with a light, yet not diminished or subdued palette.
