A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation, the abrashed greyish teal to light blue field features a closely set, all-over design of scalloped lozenges with pendants, alternating with octograms, all framed within conforming acanthus motifs. The pattern has a slight upward motion, with rust, straw, and ecru details. The main coral border is decorated with palmettes, flanked by two ecru minor borders featuring dragon vine motifs. This is a city Malayer, as opposed to a village Malayer.
