A human-faced tawny brown lion with two tick-chasing birds faces right toward another vertically oriented, polychrome striped smaller lion, on the red field decorated with flowers, botehs, small animals, jewelry and a human figure, probably a weaver. The ecru border features pinwheel floating rosettes. The lion’s ears are eccentrically placed for added amusement. Qashghai nomadic work.
