An antique Persian Tabriz carpet. The carefully abrashed light blue-grey field of this NW Persian city carpet displays a spacious centralized allover pattern of floral sprays, concentric rosettes, and small palmettes. The warm brown border mixes millefleurs bits with tip curled slanted leaves and palmettes. The field pattern has been influenced somewhat by “American” style Sarouks.
