A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Bare armed women, men with canes, small children, giraffes, deer, lions, dromedaries, dogs, sheep, cats, peacocks, pheasants and other animals and birds inhabit the near black ground in echelon rows, all framed by a red border with nested hexagonal devices close to a turtle pattern. The inhabitants of a village, their domesticated animals, and the wilderness surrounding them.
