An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. The flower-filled, pointed ivory subfield is placed on a dark brown shaped field. The ivory corner pieces mirror the eight lobed central motifs. The dark brown border bends leaves around rosettes. This classic Tabriz scatters dates from 1890, the “Hajji Jalili” period of quality weaving from that city.
