An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili carpet. From the Hajji Jalili period of Tabriz weaving - from 1880 to 1900 – this medallion and corners field design carpet have an open pale salmon ground. The corners erupt toward the sides in foliate streamers. Unlike most Tabriz carpets of the period, the tonality is subdued and the colors are all in the same key. The creamy field corner arabesques are particularly dynamic.
