An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. A pinched light blue open field frames a beige, scalloped oval twin-boteh palmette pendant medallion. Small boteh-leaves grow from the acanthus leaf and rosette/palmette blue-black border. This finely woven Tabriz mat dates from the desirable ‘Hajji Jalili’ period in the late 19th century.
